Muckhart Nature Park: Laying woodchip under the new bench - Mon, 29 Sep 2014 - 11:00 to 15:00

Back in March, with the help of dedicated volunteers from the local community and Perth College, we installed a fab new dry stone bench overlooking the Nature Park's pond. We still need to add the finishing touch... some woodchips around the bench to stop it getting boggy in wet weather. That will allow people to enjoy the bench all the way through winter. Another task for the day will be to remove all the weeds from around the base of the planted tree's to give them a chance to get away as well as re-staking any that may have blown over.

There is also a patch of land behind the kirkyard that is a bit overgrown so if we have time we'll try to get in there and tidy it up a bit.

If you fancy lending a hand it would be much appreciated by all the people who regularly enjoy a walk (and a sit down) in the park.
